Last Saturday I rode the new Monster 1200 Testretta and THAT bike has all that the Streetfighter was missing. I don't know why - it just does.
I've never straddled one, but I was trying to figure out what looked odd about this bike in its side view, and it's exactly this; the bars seem so low (at least, compared to the seat).
Also, the Monster 1200 looks prettier (even with all the plumbing on the right side).

I voted: Cool
It's really hard not to vote Cool with a Ducati, there is something really appealing to the nature of Italian designs that just work. (well, minus the Fiat). But that aside, it gets a Cool on looks for sure, comfort, it's definitely in the uncool zone, too small a bike, too aggressive a riding position and a seat that will give you hemorrhoids. LOL.
In red or white I'd have one, but it would be a show piece and not for riding more than to the corner store. I'd personally opt for the Triumph IF I could fit on that darn thing (but can't either).
That said, it will be interesting to see what the new 2015 Ducati Monster 821 will get this week on the Cool Wall as it was just released and is modeled after the new 1200 monster....

Total Motorcycle model page: http://www.totalmotorcycle.com/motorcyc ... er-848.htm
Coolness Factor of the 2014 Ducati Streetfighter 848 is:
Awesome (3 points) 44% [ 15 ]
Cool (2 points) 50% [ 17 ]
Uncool (1 point) 6% [ 2 ]
Fail (0 point) 0% [ 0 ]
Total votes : 34
= a Coolwall Factor of 79.4%
NOTES: An interesting mixed set of member responses for the 848, but still all positive. It just feels like Ducati has more practicality they could put into the 848 than they did. Could explain the disappearance of many of the Streetfighter models. JStark47 and Grey Thumper mentioned Triumph could compete with the Street Triple for around the same price and $1200 more for the Street Triple R, gives a buyer something to think about...
Next 2014 TMW Cool Wall bike is now up for voting on, have fun!!
