Rode it to work today, taking it slow and easy so as to get the feel of her power band, brakes and handling. Rides solid, good acceleration, brakes good, smooth. Doesn't feel as hooliganish as the Connie did, but that maybe cause I am taking it easy. One place the Connie does have the Trophy beat tho is the rear view mirrors. The Trophys rear view mirrors seem tiny and distant compared to those on the Connie. But all in all, I am well pleased with her.

Prettier than my gray one.
You were fortunate to find one with the matching top case. Those were an option, not included equipment, and no longer available I believe.

Being riding the Trophy pretty much non-stop, and I take back about what I said about it not being as much as hooligan as Connie was, if anything, its a bit of Chav who is dressed up for his day in court. Looks clean, neat and respectable, but you just know lurking under that suit, is a right basstard who would glass you as soon as look at you.
Today riding to work I had a car pull up beside me as I was going down the hill on Canada Way. I wondered where the hell he came from as there was nothing behind me a minute or two ago...then I notice a familiar looking hat on the drivers head, aha, Luke from work and his girlfriend being a smart arse. We hit red sitting side by side and rev our engines as if to race of the line.....light turns green and I let the clutch out and whoosh.....I am screaming down the road and getting the front wheel off the ground a bit.....okay, I am waaay too old for that nonsense, so ease off the throttle and and get her back into my comfort zone......as for Luke....he is a good 1/2 mile behind me now.

Connie has been sold to a fellow who owns two of them, one here in BC and the other at his holiday home in Florida. She will be used to keep them up and running.

You know, I just might do that. I am making the coin now that would allow me to do so.

Yeah, these bikes have a bit of a top end to them. This is the only bike I've had where I don't really worry when merging onto a freeway, i.e. whether there's an opening or not. I just keep it in a lower gear and run the RPM's up, and....... it makes it's own opening, and the car that was coming up fast behind me is now a distant dot in my rearview mirror.
Which is why I've sold or am selling newer bikes, but still keep the Trophy and pay $$$ for maintenance (e.g. carb rebuilds

). The bike is worth it.
