And where's the Triumph?

Seriously, welcome from the other end of the country.

The Triumph is in the garage with the tank taken off. It was stored when I bought the beemer. I stored it with my brother when I heard news of Triumph's impending bankruptsy (remember the Meriden strike). As it turned out, Triumph didn't go belly up until 1981 (or thereabouts).

The Triumph is in an all original condition. The paint is perfect (tank and frame). Unfortunately, all the chrome pieces have the start of corrosion spots and have to be re-chromed (my retirement project in 06). My brother had it stored in a corner of his garage where dampness came through the wall. The tires are original with no sign of tread wear and the rubber is still soft.

After a 21 year storage period, the Triumph was started and I rode it to my house where its been stored for 10 years. After riding the beemer, I forgot how well the Triumph handled in comparison. As a Triumph rider, I'm sure you understand what the legendary handling and feel of Triumphs are all about.

Welcome aboard, nice to have another Washingtonian with us.

I must have missed it, but what part of the state are you from?
