To safetyboy: I'll bet you can easily wipe out your wife in a drag. A friend of mine also has an LS650. She is a little timid and new, but I get the impression the 650 has very little oomph even when pushed compared to the 454. She has a hard time keeping up with me and her husband .

If yuo're willing to run an LS650 right it'll keep up with an 800 Marauder with few problems. Yes I've done, and no I'm not proud of it

Hi PK,
Just saw your post, and why yes... I smoke her Suzi like a cheap cigar!
Now she's looking at a Ninja 500R, Triumph Speed Four or Ducati Dark 620... So it looks like my days are numbered!
Started working on my 454 a bit. It runs great, but is ugly! I was missing the sissy-bar pad - just found one on eBay for $8, sissy-bar included. That should improve things a lot
