Having A2 license in itself is a huge applause. You already have chosen one of highly recommended motorcycles for beginners Honda Shadow 750. This motorcycle is one of top ranked suggested motorcycle because of its comfy and easy posture due to its low seat which eases its ride for beginners, easily handling features and liquid cooled engine add more to it.

Maybe KTM RC 390 would be a good option. There you can find not only bikes but also salvage cars, just in case you need one.

So I have been looking at different motorcycles as I’m taking my A2 license and I have a hard time actually choosing what bike is the best for me, does anyone have suggestions for bikes that can be driven on an A2 license (max 47bhp/35kw)? For example have I been pretty interested in the Honda shadow 750 as I have some love for cruisers, but I can be flexible in taste.

Honda Rebel 500, Kawasaki Vulcan S, Indian Scout Sixty, Yamaha V-Star 250 are few appealing beginner cruiser motorcycles; these will suit you accurately.

Well it is quite a good looking bike, though the v-star generally feels a bit slower and more unreliable than the shadow, maybe the Kawasaki w800 could be something? The rebel also seems a bit slow, I still want to be able to go for longer rides and so on

It doesn't make these bikes any less amazing, in my opinion; maybe I just know more about the Yamaha lineup of bikes than I do about bikes from other manufacturers.
