For the most part I attempt to fill only at stations I know do not have that damn rubber nozzle . With my after market fat bobs the right side tank has a really small intake hole and I generally over fill when I cannot see , Then I takez me bandanna out of my back pocket and wipez the tank . Cause I knowz where thatz been ........

I hate those rubber things. I first encountered a pump with the big, rubber vapor recovery system in California in the late 80s. You have to hold on to the big rubber sleeve and pull back in order for the pump to work. Makes one's hands smell very gaslike. I remember the first time I had to use it, I was thinking, "No way will this system ever go very far." Silly me

I use option #2. Also I get fuel in a clean plastic gas can and fill my bikes at home. The reason being that if using a pump that has one hose for all grades, if you want premium you will pump at least 1/2 gal of what ever fuel was pumped last. If you pump 1 gal into your car and then fill the gas can you can be more assured to get all premium fuel into the gas can. Sounds a little silly, but it works for me.

Slowly and carefully, my biggest concern at petrol stations is the amount of crap on the forecourts. They never seem to clean in front of the pumps and they are always full of grease and oil and petrol.

Wow I never thought of that. From now on I'm only buying regular at a one hose pump.

it doesnt make any difference the gas will mix together and youll only be off be a small percent not likely any motor will know the difference between 97 octane and 96.5 or whatever.
