That is a good point Buzz. My freind Warren has a Bombardier DS 650 with a yoshimira pipe. The damn thing is irritatingly loud in my opinion but when I talk to neighbors around my trails they always tell me that the two strokes bug them the most. But as long as the riders go slow through the places with the houses, the people living there really dont seem to mind. But we have a small group of idiots that go to fast and the inhabitants call the cops... Then we are screwed. Its that small group that will eventually ruin it for all of us.
thanks for the feedback

These guys are fighting for your right to ride, check them out.
2-strokes can be loud, but have you ever heard a 4-stroke with a hi-po exhaust sytem? Not just LOUD, but it carries for miles due to the deep, low tones.
"poo poo", even stocker 4 strokes can sound realy loud and annoying. My XR sounds like a sport bike with a speech impedament. Dirt bike noise with high pitched howl. I kinda like it. Personally i love the sound of dirtbikes, quads, etc, 4 or 2 strokes.

That's my playground. I came out onto a road in VT and took that home. Not even a moto permit at the time, un-registered dirtbike, off road only tires. the road goes south for about a mile lower than the pic goes than up to the blip after meeting a main road in my town. There are many differant trails inside that red blob thing. And i don't actually think i got the whole area.

It's 6 years old, was my learner bike, and has been riden hard by me and the previous owners. Oh yeah, it's been down hard too. Something IS coming apart

. It's getting rebuilt come winter. Topend, trans, valves reseated/replaced, cylinder honed/maybe bored out, new chain/ +3 tooth sprocket in back, new front sprocket, brake rebuild, any weak welds tacked.
