Speaking as one who has seen both the inside and the outside of that truck it's a nice one BuzZz.

I would like to add the addendum that people who need to wear a suit to work should not be driving a truck. Anyone whose truck spends more time clean then dirty should not own one, unless you habitually wash it after getting it dirty.

There's something about living in Alberta and owning a truck. Even if you drive 10km through residential neighbourhoods to get to work, and that's all you ever do, you need to own a truck. To many people around here buy them just as a status symbol.

Actually, with the 2.8liter 4-cylinder and 5-speed in my truck, coupled with the 3.42 rear-end, my truck is rated 21/26 and several personal tests have returned an average of 23mpg with my combined city/highway driving. That's not outstanding by any means, but it's darn good considering the versatility I have.

Still haven't got that thing out of the river, Buzz? I remember when you spun off the road into the drink last year.
Even my old Chebby 3/4 is pretty comfortable, but 10-ply tires and heavy duty suspension can make you feel like you have taken a very long trip, even if it's only 150 miles.
Everybody's butt and back react differently, but the best seat I ever spent days in a cage in were those of a Buick Park Avenue. Infinitely adjustable.

I had an 87 ford ranger with a little 2.8 in it that got about 25 mpg if I drove it fairly normal, but that's still not in the same league as many modern cars.... and I'm fine with that. Trucks still beat cars in my book.

I have an 01 ford ranger - regular cab. It hauls all our bikes (one at a time of course) just fine. I have to leave the tailgate down but I have tie downs for the straps inside the bed - and a portable ramp. I can load my biggest bike by myself and tie it down in less than ten minutes. I wouldn't want to not have a truck. My wife and I do most of our cage riding in an '03 Subaru Forester. Truth be told though, I'm much more comfortable in the truck. We don't do all that much driving though - 10 on the wagon last year and only 3k on the truck.
