I only go there if they have something no one else has. Every time I walk thru the door...I can feel my IQ drop. :(

wal-mart is just doing what our system was meant to do....it's not like this is the only example of one company grabbing a monopoly...in Nova Scotia there is only one power company...one phone company...and you pay what they want to charge...and do what they tell you or go without...at least with wal-mart you can go buy what you want somewhere else.

[quote="me"]What can I say about Wal-Mart?

Upon entering, I take a deep last breath of fresh air. .......... haha thats why i work over night!!!! I am currently employed at wal-mart. I do floor maintainance. Ya know, waxing and using scrubbers and buffers to make the floors shiny after the silly people of this world leave their unwrapped previously chewed bubble gum onthe floor for others to step on! I voted love it. Though I dont truely love the store, they give me money and that gives me motorcycles :P !!!!

Before the telephone company was broken up many years ago, it was referred to as a "benign monopoly", and it was priced at rates everyone could afford, it always worked, and you could count on free repairs to any part of it, even the wiring in your house pertaining to telephone service. We will never know what might have become of this had it stayed that way, because the greedy ones who saw a way to break it up and make money from it while reducing quality and service were successful, and now things seldom work properly, and service stops at the box outside the house.

I go where I need to go for what I need, hopefully at a good reasonable price and if its convenient.

In the U.K. Wall Mart supermarkets are called Asda (yes, we have them too). I've only been in an Asda supermarket once. It was enough: characterless, vast and despite the size, it didn't have what I wanted.

It's employment policies are more than usually vicious. I don't shop there. My tiny gesture is pointless but it satisfies a personal need to stick up a finger at that kind of mindless greed.

There is an Asda store 150 yards from where I work. I walk 200 yards in the opposite direction and shop at Tesco's which is almost as bad.

i hate it, i mentiond before but i workd there 2 years and was on my way to lower managment(ya it suckd but easy work for enough money for me). and i got fired for giving a celebrity(DMX) my walmart vest. suckd after all that time and hard work they fire me for something so petty like that. i hate to shop there but the prices are unmatched by any store around and since im out of work and broke i need cheap stuff ha.

if you use a debt card, make them run it as credit just to "pee" them off, the cashiers hate doing it, and the store has to pay fees so they loose a lil money.

That sounds like a lawsuit to me.

I like the prices (but you can't always count on them being the best) I HATE their labor practices.
