In addition to hydrolock, you can overflow the float bowl, and run gas down the cylinder walls into the crankcase. Now you have thin gassy oil. Some bikes will do this on the side stand even with everything working correctly...minute float misadjustments that have no other symptoms can allow the bowls to overfill son the side stand and cause the crankcase to flood with gas. Take the oil filler cap off and take a whiff. if it smells gassy, time for a change.
