...well of course it's chopped! (it's a Buell stock photo for gods sake)... and it's chopped poorly. Bar end mirrors would be an easy enough fix... I didn't figure I needed to add them in to get across what I was saying. Are you trying to say that those mods can't be done? laid back fairing, clipons, aftermarket pipes, rewrapped seat, and hacksawed/reground seatpost (that'd be the hardest part, but still pretty easy, nothing to fabricate) also I'd ditch the passenger pegs, recut the belt guard, and ditch the front reflector.

The cycletrader is good around here and craigslist (I've bought two bikes off there) has anywhere from 50-200 posts a day with used bikes. You can definitely gte a lot more for your money used. Hell, we have three bikes in the driveway that all look good and run good and we paid $2700 for all three! Warranty, schmarranty. They'll drive you broke keeping that warranty in effect by paying for the required factory authorized service it requires! Anyway, the gs500 is a very good bike and I've seen them listed lately. If you need service, I'd recommend Seattle Cycle Center on Aurora - it's an independent shop and they'll usually give you a discount on something or another and they are nice folks. Used parts can be had from bent-bike in Lynnwood & Auburn. I think they are overpriced and generally rude, but used parts are hard to come by so what are you gonna do. I would NOT buy a used bike there. They are priced way over book for a perfect bike, sometimes by more than 100%, and I rarely see a bike there that isn't covered in rust. Bent-bike does have some good full-face helmets in the $100 range and some decent gloves for cheap.

Get Honda CB F 79-83. A 750 will take you far and fast. There's not a better bike for the money. You will find them on ebay quite cheap. You'll learn a lot. Just make sure you have garage space cus when it rains you'll still want to hang out with it.
