I love that show, the best part was this conversation.

"A middle aged crippled man with a known drug problem and an addiction to painkillers, plus a motorcycle this does not seem like a good combination."

"No a bad combination is an 18 year old who lacks the ability to distinguish between braking and turning with a motorcycle. I on the other hand am fine."

He handles that thing damn well too.
Of course I'm generalizing from a single example here, but everyone does that. At least I do.

I saw a bike like that not long ago. The one I saw, was a V cruiser type, call it a Harley, which I think it was, but it was going the opposite direction so I didn't get a good look. At first I thought he had a sidecar, then realized there was a wheel on each side of the bike. My next thought was he was towing a trailer, but when he went by, no trailer.

After doing some research I found there are several different type of "outrigger" wheels for motorcycles. Some as the one above, lift off the ground at a certain speed, others "give" as the bike leans in a turn. One of them in particular can be removed in about 5 mins to return the bike to it's normal configuration.

One of the guys in my Uncle's club has a set up like that, he gets up to 30 degrees of lean and it has 4 tires.

He has it because he got in an accident a while back broke an arm, shattered his collar bone, and messed up his legs, but he still loves to ride. That and the fact he's 70 years old makes me glad to see he has the outrigger
