But hoax or not that'd be one hell of a way to die. I wonder if they even knew what hit them. It said they didn't have time to react but if they even noticed the cycle or not...hmm.

Doesn't say a whole lot for the strength of a the VW.

The VW you posted Klutch? Yeah, its turned up a few places now, I think it was a standard press release as the text is always the same.
I am thinking that the bike is the Honda VFR750 but dont have any reference to hand for the rear end. Anyone know?
The wreckage Dr Bar posted though does look like the rear quarter of an Escort in England.

Right. It's just physics. The combination of weight x velocity determines how much energy is involved. If you take a 500 pound motorcycle (or rock, or cow) and accellerate it to 155 mph, it will destroy nearly any car on the road.
