So why have you always drank lager when i'm out with you?

For me - pretty much any real ale or stout.
Faves would be Theakstons XB, Marstons Pedigree, Spitfire RA, of course, Guiness.

If i'm not drinking bitter, then it'll be whiskey - something with a bit of taste, like Laphroaig (single scotch malt - very peaty)

I agree, wonderful stuff.

Other then that I'll drink Sleeman's Honey Brown if I cannot find my Keiths.
Guiness is good too, if you're hungry. But you need a spoon to eat it.

I used to think (when I first started drinking beer) that beer tasted like soap! But then I realised it was just bad beer I was drinking!! LOL.

I think I've had around 300 different beers by now if not more. I enjoy trying new beers.

So my favourites are all over the map:

- Sleeman's Cream Ale (Canada)
- Bowes Original Lager and Extra Dry (Canada)
- Bushman's Lager (Australia)
- Guiness in the can (Ireland)
- Lucky Lager (USA)
- Rolling Rock (USA)
- Sapporo (Japan)
- Corona w/lime (Mexico)

Always room for more beer favorites!

...and non-beer? It HAS to be German white wine! Yummmy! Those German's make the best wine. :D ... oh and I love good RUM too!!

Mike.

small micro here called "Steel Back" makes a nice lager called "CHAIN" ...problem is you have to go to their brewery to buy it.....I also liked a beer in N.S. called "ALPINE"...good strong flavour.

Youngs bitter
Abbot Ale
Theaxtons Old Peculiar.

All memories from the days when I could drink this stuff without immediately wishing I hadn't.

I like anything from across the pond. Very few US beers that I like. Anchor Steam is a great one out of California though.

This world wide web is great. In Canada, Cascade is a dish soap. When I read the post I just about hurled. However I'm sure the beer is great!

For all my friend in Canada's beerland who like Rickards Red - A friend of mine used to work in a management job in Molsons Brewery. If you've read the label you'll notice Rickard's is a Molson product. Don't tell anybody now - Well I won't tell you either - just compare Rickards with Molson's EX. Draw your own conclusions about RED FOOD DYE!!!

JJ

By the way I used to drink Rickard's at a premium price. I now drink EX

American Beer is Brown + Water. If you want the real stuff you got head North o' the 49, or better yet bounce across the lake for something that still tastes good warm. Scary stuff, scary stuff...
