Well, some of you can restrain yourself when another purposely aims for you while riding. Shrugging off a basic driving mistake I can do, but to refrain from a person deliberately trying to take me out is a threat to my life and no way in hell I'm going to shrug it off with a laugh or otherwise. Challenging a cage with my bike I will not do, but maintaining a distance while following them until they stop is what I will do and have done. I will make it a point to assure someone like that seriously thinks again before trying this to another rider, or anyone, for that matter. Right or wrong, I have gotten the point across before and I will continue to do so again. Someone needs to take a stand against these "Donut Holes". I am one who's willing.

I actually think it's just as entertaining to see these idiots burn out and blast by. [mentioned above]

I learned a valuable lesson, long ago:

"Just because I can do something, doesn't mean I need to"

What kind of bike are you riding when they pull up and want to race?

I've had them try to race me on my LS650 (tiny cruiser) and my 599 decent sized sporty looking bike. They're idiots. As even a weak "O Ring" cruiser can outpull most cars on the road.

I have found that people who do this are bully's. My daughter often complains about being pushed around on her 125, but no one even looks at me funny. I have on occasion followed my daughter and as soon as it known that she is being chaperoned she does not have a problem. Souped up Golfs and Hondas look at me at the robots but never bother to challenge. Other bikers have revved at me and a quick shake of the head lets them know I am not interested.

We have a facility here called Illegal to legal. Based at a racetrack you can go and race your buddies, or not buddies for that matter, you can clock your 0 - 100 or top speed, the cops use their radar guns for this. Cars, bikes, whatever. The cops are actually promoting this and having a zero tolerance on the road. We have just had a guy on the highway do 284kmh. He was busted big time. Bike confiscated, R30 000 fine and jail time. So at least we have an outlet we can do legally. This is the same track as we have the toy run.

Where is this at?

And to answer the question, what type of bike was I on? EX500.

Now that I have a freshly minted R6, as of 12 hours ago, I fully expect this to happen more, and more.

On A Sidenote:
Coming home from dealership last night, I was stopped at a red light, and two suzuki's pulled up next to me. They nodded, I nodded. They revved, I revved. The light turned green, and all three of us leisurely went about our business. I'm glad to see I'm not the only one lacking a deathwish.

A Toyota tundra had tried to race me on the main street I was coming home on. I could see him in my rearview, he pulled up alongside, started revving his engine, and floored it. Ah, definitely the pattern of a serial bully.

I think I might need to move to Canada. The GF says people aren't crude pieces of *@$& *@&!! @*$&% there.

Since 90% of the tourists that try to kill me on the road down here either have michigan license plates, or have maple leaves tatooed on their foreheads.
