I finally found my piece of paper that I had with the name of a jacket. I tried this line on at the MC show. I was quite impressed by the styling and fit. They had a wide range of sizes just not the one I needed at the bike show.

Hi,

I have the light blue Joe Rocket Lotus. I love it. Very flattering, lots of vents and good reflective strips. A very nice cut for a woman.

I would never buy clothing online unless I had tried it on in a store first. Any major shop will carry this jacket, so try it on first before you shop online for price. They run smaller than you'd expect. Then go here:

Good luck,
Janet

by the way, it is NOT windproof. Before I got a windshield, I was always very aware of the wind blasting straight into my chest through the zipper. I don't feel a thing now that I have a windshield, but of course, I live in sunny California...

I need a jacket! I got one on Ebay, it should be here soon. I have never worn a leather coat, and after I ordered it someone told me always get at least a size larger than you normally wear for leather! Well crap, it probably wont fit me. I got a large... I have a 36D chest, and wear about a size 12. My bf got me a riding jacket last year size Large (blue mesh), and I could barely zip it up. We just listed it on Ebay.

Anyways, anyone have a problem finding jackets that fit?

If your blue mesh jacket is Joe Rocket that will explain why it is small for a large.

You should be able to wear a large leather jacket providing you are normal proportions. I have the same measurements as you, but I haven't found the right leather jacket yet. Sleeves are usually too short for me.

I'm currently in a Fox Creek Leather jacket. It fits great and supernice quality. You definitely get what you pay for.

This is the leather that I wear, by Unik.

Wish I looked as good in it as she does!! Anyway...

I found it at a place in the Detroit area - otherwise I probably wouldn't have bought it online. The jacket has no armor in it, but the leather is super thick. It comes with a full liner (not just a vest). It's very comfortable and has a nice ladies' cut. The price blew me away - it was on sale at the shop where I found it for only $100. Woo-hoo!

I also have a Joe Rocket mesh jacket, and yes, you have to go a size larger with Joe Rocket's ladies' wear. They're just mean that way.

A bit off topic, but I had wanted to get a pair of Icon ladies' riding jeans - they had all the features I was looking for and looked really nice - but all of their ladies' pants are in junior sizes!! WTF?! I have yet to find the perfect riding pants.

Cheers,
Loonette

I was in a bike store last week and tried on some riding pants. The clerk insisted I at least try them on. They actually fit. And had long legs. I had just spent 700 dolllars on tires and servicing and stuff on my bike so IO had no more money to spend. I will go back. They were made by Joe Rocket of all people, but they were sized for tall. I might just have to make this bike shop my new dealer. They had other things, too, that fit. It may have something to do with the fact that the parts and accessories people there are women.

Well I bought a jacket, it came today and is too tight :(. I can zip it up, but then I cant move at all! I hate having watermellons sometimes. I paid 85$ for it on Ebay, including shipping. Now no use for it. If I lost 20lbs it might fit! Im pissed becuase its really a lovely jacket, and retails for 399$~

Well, if you've got 'em to lose, this sounds like a great incentive program. :)

I always buy jeans a little too tight for this purpose... 8)

It is a nice looking jacket. Would it be possible to take it to a tailor (that specializes in leather) or a leather shop that does sewing and have them alter it? Maybe the zipper can be moved?????
