I'm a vet... when stationed in Pearl Harbor, my ship went out quit a bit, back and forth most every day. The ship channel takes you right by the USS Arizona Memorial, and all hands that are on deck stand at attention for the minute it takes to pass through the official memorial area. I really got a sense of the significance and loss of Pearl Harbor.
