I noticed the smilie, but I run a 130-80-18 on my xj900 in place of the 120-90-18 called for in the manual. Also use 80 series in front, and it doesn't make it handle strangely at all, and looks a little better. Those 90's are SKINNY looking.

Genius... I was wondering how I was gonna fit a center stand to the bikeoldnslo wrote:If you used a tire on the rear from say, a Corvette, you could do away with the side stand, and cornering would be about the same. Very convenient.

Why?
Just because you can. Alot of people say that harley owners do things to their bikes to make them stand out. I say everybody does things to their bikes to make them stand out, whether it be a harley or not. Why not, it's the American way. If nobody customized bikes then all of our bikes would look the same. Personally I think that tire is stretching the limit into craziness, but if that is what the owner wants then more power to him. And I'm quite sure it will sell too. I wouldn't want a tire that wide just because I'm too much of a cheap skate to want to pay for a new one, I wonder what that would cost?

Going for the drag bike look, eh?oldnslo wrote:If you used a tire on the rear from say, a Corvette, you could do away with the side stand, and cornering would be about the same. Very convenient.
Ever watch sport bike drag racing? The size of that rear tire is crazy. They have to crank the bars all the way to the tank in one direction and slide a knee just to turn into the pits at 10 mph.

If I get some yokes milled out of billet aluminium can I have a 360 on the front too???
Bike customisation comes with Bikes... I think there is probably something wrong with you unless you are doing something to your bike, whether that being perfomance modding, body chopping or restoring to mint...
Theres just something nice about sorting stuff out...
