If you are dropping the bike at speed its going to be damaged anyway and you'll most likely just be grateful that you are walking away from it.

Actually that example works really well. Thanks for the info. Guess they are little bits of money spent to prevent big bits of money from being spent when you spill.they're like arms for your motorcycle.....what's the first thing you do when you are about to fall? ..you put your arms in front of you so you're head doesn't hit the ground.
