You could also consider a naked bike. Something like the yammy FZ6 Kawasaki Z750, or Honda 919. They have the power of a sportbike but a nice comfortable riding position, and they are a lot lighter than many cruisers.

These would fit between a cruiser and a sportbike.

As tall as you are you might also find a dual sport to be a comfy ride.

I would go out and try a bunch of different bikes, if you have never been on a cruiser before you might be suprised to find that some of them are no more comfortable than a sportbike. Though most of the cruisers that have been mentioned are on the comfy side.

I'll second what V4underme said and recommend the last generation Honda Magna. It will do everything that you ask and then some.

Also, who says you have to ride a V-Twin to call it a cruiser??
Motorcycle Cruiser Magazine's choice for Cruiser of the DECADE was given to a bike with a flat 6 boxer 8)

Under 500 lbs? In a cruiser the suzuki S50 (intruder) is about the only choice. I just went through that looking for a lightweight bike that would handle 2-up. At 443 lbs the intruder has more then enough power to do all the things you want a lightweight cruiser to do.

I'll recommend the Magna 700 one more time for the 2-up category. I cruise 75 on the freeway all the time with my wife and we total about 420 .lbs ourselves and there is plenty left over for passing.

I'd suggest a Suzuki M50 or C50. I tried the S50 and found it cramped and I'm only 6'1". The M C 50's have a longer wheel base than the S50. They are more powerful than the Hondas from what I have heard.
