One response i got on a British frum, www.gbbikers.co.uk, siad that it could be the generator.
My battery's fine, but I havne't checked the rest of the electrics coz i'm crap at them.
This bloke had a dodgy generator, that would provide enough juice to rev through the range at idle, but not under power.
I think i'm going to have to give mine to an auto electrician. It's just getting the money that's the problem.
Now where'd i put that lottery ticket...

I was thinking about the battery as well, my bike has always had a funny thing with the electrics, whereby i could get the bike to idle, but the headlight would always flicker with the engine revs a bit, and the headlamp would get noticably brighter when it was revved. Will test this when i get the bike turning over next.

Unfortunately got some other things at the moment that have to take precedence, but i want to take a stab at it sometime soon. Good luck with yours & your lottery ticket ;-), i think i'll need some luck too.

Do you have a vacuum petcock? Try the prime position if you do.
