Sounds like a decent plan. In one of your post's, you talk about testing to ensure weight remains behind the axle line. Question, how do you plan to ensure your dog stays that way? He/She is bound to get uncomfotable after a short while and repostion themselves. Just something to keep in mind. I can sometimes feel my dog doing that. But his little trailer is a wee bit more sturdy looking than the one you plan to use.

Here are a couple of pics Grady's trailer.

Enjoy the trip. Be safe. Have fun!

Cheers!

Thanks High_Side.

The "pooch" won't be along for the ride, she can't be coaxed near the trailer even when it is behind the mountain bike. Besides, I would be worried about her suffering from the exhaust fumes behind the C200.

It will just be a bit of camping gear in the trailer.

Hey, neat setup. That is really something!

Have you any concerns about carbon monoxide. Do you have a detector patch inside the trailer?

As I mentioned to High_Side my dog won't be along for the ride, just gear.

There's NO WAY I'd have the patients to ride a little bike all that way, plus I'd miss the power factor.

What about that classic Honda with the twin pipes, wouldn't that be a better choice?

I think I could, I understand this "smell the flowers attitude" If you have the peacefull roads to ride and plenty of cute and quaint places to stop, Why not?
I spent my therapy money an a K1200S

Any one of them would be a good choice, I just want to go with the minimum for a change, take my time, see things close up. It will only be a one week ride, camping with the rattle snakes. Closest I'll get to being a cowboy.
