jus cause its raining or going too wont stop me from getting on the bike
however
I ride a little bit slower in the wet, and make every effort to minimise sudden steering, braking inputs. I treat the whole road like it was ice and everyone on it is trying to kill me. I still enjoy the ride btw

If I wasn't willing to ride in the rain I'd hardly ever ride...
Keep it slow keep it steady stay off of the road furniture, where its been painted and you shouldnt have any problems.

I find the wet ruins my experience. You have to be super paranoid and so cautious. I'm still on a two-stroke, so there basically isn't any torque whatsoever so coming out of the corners is ok. A 500+ with plenty of torque: very easy to get the "O Ring" going crazy in the wet.
The cold, the misting visor, the rusting bike... all these things make the idea a whole undesirable.

can't stand riding in the rain. Being soaking wet and cold is not my idea of fun.

That what a rainsuit and a nice leather jacket for, oh don't forget a winter gloves with water proof as well.
I remember the last rain I was in. It was 1 hour riding, I didn't have rainsuit or chaps,I only have plain Leather Air Jacket, Jeans and PolarTex Gloves (waterproof). It was very very cold, my feet got numb so as my fingers. The water penetrated into the liner and through my Themal T-Shirt. It was cold like hell but I don't mind to be on that situation again

Not much of a post aside from a 'me too' ..
.. but I took my MSF course in driving, pouring rain. According to the weather channel website, our weather those two days was:
MAX TEMP : 16.4 °C
MAX TEMP. DATE Jun.4 2005
MIN TEMP : 7.8 °C
MIN TEMP. DATE Jun.4 2005
PRECIP ACCUMULATION 42.2 mm
Which is about half the temperature it was last year at the same date .. all told, it works out to about 2 inches of rain and the warmest it got was 60F in June. Pretty crappy, let me tell you.
But, finishing up Sunday, having been in the rain for 5 hours and passing my MC drivers test with flying colours (not a single point taken off) made it one of the best days I've had all year!
And .. well, I'm not too worried about the rain anymore. After that day I was also so pleased with my Joe Rocket jacket. I was bone dry from neck to waist.
