More lighter weight armoured clothing... Jeans and lighter jackets for HOT weather.

Yup, during motorcycle training (my own stupid fault as well)

separated right shoulder
Road Rash on right knee and right arm (do up your jacket wrist closures tightly and jeans don't work is the lesson learned here)

i think more than WHAT needs to be invented, the COST of what is already here is pretty high. when you have people saying things like "i cant afford a full face helmet" and i personally do not have armored pants (just regular jeans) becasue they are somewhat cost prohbitive. trying to make cheaper (price not quality) riding gear would be a huge benefit to riders. hope this helps.

i just started riding so i doubt i could help your study much but i am 21, wear a full face helmet, textile jacket, leather over-the-ankle boots, and gloves with knuckle armor, never been in an accident or injusred, dont own a bike (maybe this weekend!) and like i said above, cost more than quality or availablity is what i think could be improved.

What folks fail to consider is that motocycling is truly a 'luxury' activity, right up there with sailboating, snow skiing and RVing.

Anyone who gets into motorcycling to 'save money' is deluding themselves. If you can't afford the gear, pick something else to take up.

Too true - i've spent well over £580 so far this year, just on keeping the bike on the road (and that's not including the £15 of petrol a week)
