The buell is a pretty nice bike, just too darned expensive for what you get.
The speed triple would definately be cheaper.

I have a 05 speed triple. I may as well be biased, but it is one of the finest motorcycle I have owned to date. I have not had any bike that gives me as many smiles per mile. The suspension loves the corners, and the motor makes some of the most intoxicating noises and so much torque whenever you want it(no real hit in the band just a steady build all the way up).The only problem I have is that I love to here the engine so much that I end up driving to fast
Get a ride on it and give it a shot. Most Triumph dealers have demo bikes and are happy to let you have a ride. If you are like me it will only take one ride to get hooked.
