Then again, dropping 4 feet onto concrete is enough to deal a lethal blow to the head. So you might just trip walking down the street some day, in which case somebody gets a new meanstreak. Melonhead... :D
Of course I'm generalizing from a single example here, but everyone does that. At least I do.

With no cure. And I can't decide whether that's a good or a bad thing..

Good for you, bad for me..and even then I'm not so sure about the latter.
Have fun on the open /¦\

Who was it that said " Good health is simply the slowest rate you can die?"

You's guys have managed to turn a simple thread about the "aesthetics" of wearing full face helmet into the tired, pathetic "to wear or not to wear" debate...

Personally, for those that don't like to/care not to wear a helmet, for whatever reason, I really have no opinion...it's not my head. Concerning my OWN head, I'm of the opinion that I'll feel safer and more confident wearing one...

That said...I still look like a bobblehead  Maybe it's cuz I'm short...

Once you get an armored jacket on you won't notice it.

And everyone looks sexy at highway speeds. 'Specially on a bike.

I have a HJC CL14 full-face. It is my main helmet. I have it because 1) the price was right, and 2) it will help keep my face attached to my head and my brains intact in the case of a sudden involuntary dismount.

It looks like hell. I, too, look like a bobblehead wearing it. I don't care. None of my gear matches or looks cool. I'm middle-aged, married, and I ride a bike whose style stopped being cutting-edge 35 years ago. The Triumph owners I ride with tend to look like a chapter of Moto Geeks Anonymous, anyway!

If you look like a bobblehead without the helmut, then I would worry not now.
I spent my therapy money an a K1200S
The therapy worked, I got a GS now
A touch of insanity crept back in the shape of an R1200R

dad saw me for the first time in my full riding gear, plastic knuckled gauntlet gloves, hjc cl-14 helmet, crtech fusion black jacket, black joe rocket ballistic 5.0 pants, and he said I should be fighting space aliens or whatnot, my little sister said I was the black power ranger, so I used a power ranger move (I think, its been a while since I was 8...) and knocker her down, then she was the bobblehead
Ok...so finally I've got all my gear (except boots). I've been wearing my HJC AC11 helmet around the house to get used to it...fits well, nice and snug, no pressure points...

Is it just me? No one else I see looks like a bobblehead doll...maybe it's just from my own perspective but...How long did it take for you guys to get used to it? I look like a giant PEZ dispenser fer chrissake... 8)
What you have to do now is have someone strap you to the roof of your car and drive down the freeway at 60 mph, so you can get used to the wind in your face. Better if you wait intil summer so the bugs can get caught in your teeth too.
Happy riding.
