Why does it shock you thatt you would need to take a vision and written exam? You obviously researched how to get a permit very little if any at all. You need to take those tests for a car permit, so why not a motorcycle...... People's lack of logic is really depressing.

OUCH!!! That really hurt! Actually my logic was; i already took vision and written tests for my regular drivers license, so it made some sense to me. Plus, When the lady tells you that you can ride you dont argue. And isnt it possible that perhaps i just got confused. perhaps when she told me that i could ride i thought "i guess it makes sense to take all the tests at the same time". cuz thats what i did.

Well, her saying you could ride does put some blame on her. I mean she does work at the DMV, so we can trust those people, right? Unfortunately, their are some retarted people that work at the DMV. Anyway, she just proves how dumb some people are. I'm glad you didn't get in trouble though.

Yeah, i really freaked when i realized i had ridden so much without any kind of license. i was even pulled over once! if the officer had realized my temps didnt have the seal i would have been in some deep stuff. I dont know the penalty for operating a motorcycle without a license, but im sure its pretty steep.

I have a corrective lenses requirement on my liscense, and there was a part of the permit app to put this down, so they didnt even bother asking or anything, just tacked it along, so if you wear glasses and have that already, you wont have to take a test. then again there is no way for a cop to accurately decide this cause the requirement says glasses OR contacts, show me a cop who can give an accurate roadside eye exam or ask to show contacts, aint gonna happen. then again, I would never ride a bike without contacts, driven a few times with one eye in and one out, hated it, wont do it blind....
go get checked out, you may not know what you're missing in life.

Never trust anything anyone says at any company, even the govt jobs. Get it all in writing (amusingly, half the time they refuse!). Do your own research, get your own information, verify it all yourself. I'm sorry to say that I think most people who work at these places are idiots. They do the same thing over and over (thus leading to mistakes), usually they are trained improperly, and they will never, ever admit mistakes. So unless you have proof that she told you misinformation, its your responsibility to know the law. And even if you somehow DID have proof, it might get her fired or in trouble at her job, but you're still responsible...and they'll just replace her with another idiot.

Yeah, tell me about it. Then people like me have to manage projects staffed by people like these :frusty:
