Though you're looking pretty good on there Verm, remember to support your weight with your back, don't give in to the temptation to lay down on the tank, or hold yourself up with your arms.

I have never taken passenger pegs off for track days, nor have I been asked to.

The only reason stuff is removed is so that it doesn't leave crap all over the track if you crash. Pegs don't really fit into that category.

I was under the impression that the bodywork he wanted to buy included a rear fender, which probably wouldn't have mounts for the rear pegs, besides there has to be a way to remove the rear pegs.

The rearsets bolt onto the subframe which wouldn't be affected by new bodywork.

The pegs can be removed easily. But it looks silly because you have to leave the right side rearset on because the exhaust bolts to it.
They do have aftermarket exhaust hangers, but why bother?

I thought rearsets were relocated driver pegs? And I'd take off the passenger pegs for a couple of reasons: 1) they won't see and use 2) it'll clean up the back of the bike.

Please read what I am saying.

There is no point removing the pegs without removing their mounts as they look terrible. You can't remove at least one mount because it is needed by the exhaust.

You've also said that there are aftermarket exhaust hangers. Which might not be a bad investment if you want to make the bike look nicer. I fully understand that the hanger on the right hand side is required to hold the exhaust in place, but with a little figuring it would be easy to manufacture something that looks a lot nicer.

And you'll have to forgive me when I call the whole assembly "pegs." What I actually meant was pegs and hangers, however I merely call them pegs for brevity's sake.

If you look at my avatar, you can see what my pasenger hangers look like. I'm currently trying to track down a cheap set of OEM replacements so I can chop off the back bit and clean it up a little. This way if I know I'll need to take a passenger I can just bolt the origingals back on.

And the reason to bother is the fact that it'll make the bike look much nicer, at any rate that's my opinion.

And rearsets are installed if you want to move the position of the pegs around, or need to drop a little weight by putting on titanium or aluminum (probably not) for racing. As he's happy with the way he sits on the bike rearsets would be a waste of both time and money.

yeah, i don't like undertail exhaust.

though now, i would like to remove my rear fender too. but it looks like there's some wiring involved since there's lights for my plates even though my rear turn signals are on the actual tail.

so can't do it on my own... i have very poor electrical and mechanical skills.

heck, i won't be able install the new dbl bubbl winsdcreen that i'll get this week since my front turn signals are integrated to the side mirrors.

i don't think my mechanic will charge me a lot though, he seems like a pretty good guy.
