An impeachment does not necessarily mean a boot out of office. It just goes on their permanent record and so on. In some cases (like with Nixon, whom was never actually impeached), the pressure of the impeachment process is so unbearable that they end up resigning.
Since when did Clinton deny a woman her day in court? Are you referring to Monica Lewinsky? He committed no crime with her - they had consensual sex. At worst, she was a jilted lover. She can only blame herself for that one. People were just irked that Clinton would do something so inappropriate in the White House. They should have just let Hillary smack him around a bit. It's none of my business who the president is diddling in his private life. But it is my business if the president is wasting my tax dollars for government sanctioned murder.
Didn't Vermont try to secede from the Union some years back? They sure do have moxy! Some towns like to make official their stance on certain situations. Our village drew up a mission statement of sorts in the Spring of 2003 simply stating that we, as a group of registered voters, are opposed to the war in Iraq. Nothing practical can come of making such a statement, but it does create a climate of understanding.
Cheers,
Loonette

Dude - c'mon. If he hasn't lied can we maybe say that he's mistaken a whole lot?

Completely inept, perhaps. But then again, I'm not sure how he became the President of the US if he really is that stupid...

Bush might be as stupid and inept as he seems, in spite of having Karl Rove whispering in his ear, but 18% Cheney is the real evil, even when he doesn't have a shotgun in his hands.
If you google "bush impeachment petitions", there are thousands of websites from which to chose.

Excuse my ignorance in US politics, but I didn't know that's what happened to Clinton (that he was impeached).
Any guesses who will be replacing Bush in 2 years? After the Canadian sponsor scandle the people voted in the Progressive Conservative govenment who we never thought would actually win over the Liberals!
Mike
My hope is that John McCain will be the next prez.
He shoud've been in 2000 but, no, we ended up with curious George.

The impeachment of President Bill Clinton arose from a series of events following the filing of a lawsuit on May 6, 1994, by Paula Corbin Jones in the United States District Court for the Eastern District of Arkansas. In her complaint initiating the suit, Ms. Jones alleged violations of her federal civil rights in 1991 by President Clinton when he was governor of Arkansas and she was an Arkansas state employee. According to the allegations, Governor Clinton invited Ms. Jones to his hotel room where he made a crude sexual advance that she rejected.
After Ms. Jones filed the lawsuit, the attorneys for President Clinton moved to delay any proceedings, contending that the Constitution required that any legal action be deferred until his term ended, an issue ultimately decided against the President by the Supreme Court of the United States in its decision of Clinton v. Jones, 520 U.S. 681 (1997). Following the Supreme Court decision allowing the Jones lawsuit to proceed, pre-trial discovery commenced in which various potential witnesses were subpoenaed for information related to the Jones incident and, over objections of the President's attorneys, Mr. Clinton's alleged sexual approaches to other women. On April 1, 1998, Judge Susan Webber Wright granted summary judgment in favor of President Clinton, dismissing the Jones suit in its entirety, finding that Ms. Jones had not offered any evidence to support a viable claim of sexual harassment or intentional infliction of emotion distress. Ms. Jones appealed Judge Wright's decision to the 8th Circuit Court of Appeals, but before a decision on the appeal was rendered, Ms. Jones and the President settled the case on November 13, 1998.
Clinton was involved in witness tampering and cover up, essentially the same crimes as Nixon, only in Clinton's case instead of a break in it was rape. She was denied her day in court by his illegal actions, and as president he had sworn to protect her rights, which he then did his best to destroy.
The impeachment had nothing to do with Monica Lewinsky. She was just another of his escapades he lied about.
But the left loved Bill Clinton's lies, and when Serin gas was found in Iraq they all said"that doesn't count as a weapon of mass destruction" - Bush still lied.
Evidence rises to show the convoys moving WMDs to Yemen and the left says, So? Bush still lied.
You get a good, hard working, God fearing, strong president defending you against our enemies and you call him the liar, and you put the real liar and rapist on a pedestal.
Warped.

^If you could provide some evidence of the above to further your argument, that would be great.

Whatever the evidence, which I've never seen any REAL evidence of WMD in Iraq, it still was one of the fakest reasons to go to war following 9-11. Notice I say even if there were WMD, it still didn't make sense. Of all the countries that contained terrorist and enable terroism, Iraq was the least reasonable choice. Bush had a bug up his butt about Iraq and used 9-11 as an excuse. It was as silly as attacking Spain. Iraq was never a threat to this country. Now, on the other hand, we sure are a threat to Iraq.
Clinton was no gem. He got to be in politics the old fashioned way - he was a laywer and a slick crook. Hey, he sounds like most politicians. I don't hate him, but I don't respect him either.
Now the current guy, I kind of hate him. Mostly for not defending our country and pretending he is defending our country. And for getting people who should be stopping him to be on his side. Most of the people who support this guy seem to be the type that would try to stop such trickery and also very appartent slickness. I guess if you say you are a Repulican you have a get out of jail free card.

Making an advance to a woman, crude or not, isn't rape. Defining it as such is an insult to all people (men and women) who have been victims of true rape.

First off,
I never put Clinton on a pedastal. Secondly, I
was asking for clarification - and thank you for providing it. Thirdly, he's not a rapist - he's a putz maybe, but not a rapist.
