Yeah - a *lot* too fast. Looks like the rear wheel lost traction (he might have hit something slick or some gravel - even bad tires may have caused it) and the bike shot out from under him.

oh, and that clip reminds me of the chariot scene from ben hur.
The stuntman who got run over in ben hur actually died, but they kept the scece in the movie. Anyway, it's messed up that that car just kept going, but it's also messed up that the guy on the bike was probably speeding and couldn't handle the bike.

In theory it looks like the driver had two seconds from 'bike fell over' to 'thumpy noise', but I doubt he ever saw him. Looking closely it looks like the clown behind the wheel had drifted off to the right and had just gotten all 4 tires back onto the pavement when he hit the bike. He was probably too distracted by his own lousy driving to even know what had happened until he looked in the rearview mirror. That's why I never drive or ride so that the other guys has to react to me. I assume everybody is fumbling with a tape player instead of looking at me.

err will "act like a prat & get hurt" do?
seriously theres taking a nice line through a corner (which I"m fine with), and pushing it too hard on a road.. (which he did)
"poo poo" happens ALWAYS leave yourself some ability spare to allow you to get out

Hopefully this will show other riders on here that doing extreme leans and testing your limits is not smart unless you are on a track.
Fortunately I haven't encountered a ramp that corners like that...but if I do I know this clip will come to mind and I'll be going 20 mph
As to what happened, my guess is that he was fine in the turn but when he got closer to the straightaway he throttled up while in his lean to launch onto the highway, and the back end slipped out.

I saw this on television. this rider and a few of his friends were seeing who could make the turn onto the freeway the fastest and do a little trick or something at the end when they got on the freeway. The car hit his bike and bounced up and over his body maybe hitting his helmet but he was in the clear and came away from this fine. Unfortunately this is a case of getting hurt doing something stupid.
