That may be the only shot in existence of Rossi
behind Hayden.
I'm sure that I can dig up a few that I took last year at Laguna near the start of the race before Hayden checked out.....

i bet other non-racer guys can do that too w/ the right tires.
You never know, these guys are pretty skilled at what they do! They make it look simple

You'll find a few pics of Hayden in front of Rossi (although not many of him FINISHING ahead of Rossi

). I dunno, for me Rossi is just so durn good I find myself rooting for the underdogs. Go Colin Edwards! (my favorite GP racer)

yeah....I saw that picture along with the others...and yes...he does go down hard...mostly from what I can tell...do to his foolishness...the pic or two before...he is showing off pointing to the photographers...glad to see he was wearing the best gear on his upper body...I guess you could say he was not comfortable in his skin...since he probably gave some of it up that day!

why not? can't you feel your own bike;s stability in a far lean? Just exponentiate for million dollar suspensions, gumdrop tires, high ground clearance, talent, and the will to (and restraint not to) dive through the edge of the envelope!
great pics..

Guy goin' down is funny though...hope his saddlebags were ok..look at his left hand..was he a: trying to turn his right signal light on or, b: trying to grab clutch to shift into a higher skiddin' gear...

No, no it isn't funny, regardless of who he is, what he was doing, or how stupid it might have been that "funny guy" is in a world of hurt right now. And I feel sorry for him, even if it was a likely result of too much speed, too cocky, and not enough gear.
I hope everyone can learn a lesson from this.

I am new to the forums."I" found it to be funny.I fly RC airplanes as my other hobby, and can't count how many times spectators laugh when we crash them(even though they cost $$$),and could be injured if the pilot is INCOMPETENT.I have taken the twisties of the Black Hills on a 1975 HD Superglide, real peg scrapers.NEVER would i have just came out of a corner, not looked into the next one,AND took my hand off the handlebars to wave, scratch my backside,or any other reason. In MY OPINION,there are too many biker-wanna-be's out there who have no business on roads like that one without knowing their(and their bike's) limitations.I do hope the guy is ok,but a hard way to learn a lesson. Also saw ZooTech's footage on the same twisties, head looking into corners, both hands on handlebars, and i am sure he IS having a good time even though me is not mugging for the camera..BTW,i also laugh at stupid criminals, old dogs taking a poop,ect..[/u]

People around here laugh at "squids" (read sportsbike riders) crashing all the time.
A. He was too busy trying to look cool to ride his bike properly, and
B. His little stunt cost him a lot of skin and pride because he was too cool to gear up.
Perfect laughing material considering the precedent that has been set.
