The paging alarm I am looking at for the trike pages a number chosen by you with an alarm and its a cell - so it can be tracked to within feet as long as the unit is connecting to a cell network.

I train with a seax* far as I am concerned any length of metal or wood is my seax in that situation.
* 12" Viking/Saxon utility knife, later this year I am planning on picking up an 18" langseax

Seax - pronounced 'say-axe'
It's a dirty great peice of tringular metal, to give more momentum to swings, that goes back to a deer antle handle. I was tempted by plain wood but this one fit my hand more or less exactly when I picked it up.

Verm, where do u get your insurance? I checked progressive for full coverage on a gs500f and they quoted me at $48 a month.. GSX-R600 was $350 a month... !?!? Anyone else know some good motorcycle specific insurance companies that will insure bikes in WI?

I use progressive, and it cost me $212 a year for an '82 Nighthawk.
Anyway, that really, really "procreating" sucks Verm. But I would take it as an opportunity to get the bike you really want, which is the gixxer 600. Don't you think it'd be more fun to be able to push the bike, then simply control it?

yeah, the more you guys recommend it, the more it looks better to me.
anyway... we'll see. i don't wanna decide right now.

you can legally own a seax in the UK?
I thought any knife with a blade over 2 inches was illegal>?
nice part about the US, I can legally own pretty much any blade, even something as big as a Zwheinder. Can also get a pistol, rifle, or shotgun with a simple background check that takes 5 minutes.

there is a style specific to the Seax? Or is it just a short sword style.

Actually you arent too far from the truth. We have laws aimed specially at double bladed combat knives as well as the carrying of a knife over 1 1/2" in public.
In private, or with due cause a machete is perfectly legal - due cause being a tool in use for a wilderness exercise.
I'll come clean, my seax hasn't got a cutting edge on it - it's strictly a dark age reenacment weapon. Accidents still happen, I saw loads last season, but they tend to be more of a cunch than a slice. Which is neater and dosn't upset the public as much. 
Seax is a generic term for single bladed knives in common use at the time - however they tended to have some more weigh up at the other end to give them some power.
Langseax which is more or less the same fills the short sword slot and goes up to 24"

sounds like the Seax is what evolved into the Falchion.
From what I have seen the Hanbo is about the most practical martial arts weapon to learn for self defense. Its a stick about 3 feet long, the style is like a close in bo staff style, you can pick up all kinds of sticks/pipes just laying around and turn them into an effective Hanbo.
