That's how I found out too... Anyway, congrats on the repair manual, now we just have to watch for the SV650 with the ability to outrun ANY I4 on the market! What has JPN gotten itself into?

My vechicles...

Let's see I learned to drive in a 99(i think) Geo Metro Hatchback LS (4banger instead of 3) it was like driving a go-kart.

I got my own car a '92 Oldsmobile Cutlass Cierra. That was a great car...that ate brakes and rotors like you wouldn't BELIEVE. Also I had a habit of breaking the front seats.

*ahem* I *wonder* how THAT happened? (oh to be 16 again...)

Then I needed a more reliable care so I took over payents on my dad's used '96 Buick Park Ave Ultra. It's a luxury car built on a sport suspension with a super charger.

I loved smoking civics when they'd get too cocky. But because of emissions laws I was going to have to either park the car for a year...and have no car. Or get rid of it and get a car.

I traded it in and got a 2005 (new at the end of 05) Honda Accord Coupe (2 doors, it's slick) in silver. I like it a lot. It doesn't have all of the extra crap you see in cars these days, just what I really want: automatic doors windows, keyless entry, adjustable seat and steering wheel.

And then I bought my Bike. Suzuki boulevard M50, bright frigging blue. My car is simply a point A to point B vechicle now. And I'm glad.

Also you had mentioned maybe getting a brace for your left arm, I think that it would be a really good thing to try. I know that you don't think you're doing anything with that arm, but really you're doing a lot.

Just centralizing yourself and slightly bracing against speed changes is a LOT when you've got limited use.

I also had a couple over ideas kicking around in my head, but I don't remember. If I do I'll make sure to post them.

Sounds like fun...

I am sure you dont want to know this now but if your filter is on too tight just hammer a screwdriver through it (since you are replacing it anyway) and with the extra leverage it will undo nicely.

Oh, and you will need a 16mm spark plug socket to get the buggers out.

I feel your pain. That sounds like a typical day of me working on vehicles. It sounds like the filter is a normal spin-on automotive style? If so, did you try a strap wrench on it? Good luck with the truck, do you know what component you fried?
