I own a M50, I ride with a guy that owns a Yamaha 1100 V Star and with his big wife on the back he can pass me like im standing still. I ride with another guy that owns a V Star 650, I can out accelerate him but he can go 5 mph faster at top speed, plus their bikes don't spill out black smoke from the exhaust. Im ashamed of my bike!

Keep your chin up and keep practicing. You'll figure it out in time

to me, its just not right that a pro rider like me owns a M50 and beginners own a faster bike, that harms my image, I would of been better off with a HD 883 Sporter, its just as slow but at least I would get respect because its a HD

The pro rider who actually bought the bike. That's pretty telling bud.
By the Way. Fix the damn bike.

Scott,
He doesn't actually own a bike. He likes to go on different forums and troll the hell out of 'em. I think its his hobby. He claims to be a pro...yet knows very very little about bikes at all.
If he were a pro he would've had his bike fixed by now and know that FI systems can be remapped if that is his problem. And assuming he has an m50....he wouldn't have been duped so easily by the dealer. For one, his posts were funny but now they're kinda old since he keeps bringing up the same jokes. its always "m50 is a pos" or "i'm a pro rider" or "i'm a goodlooking guy"....hey moto....get some new material. its getting old.

or create a new account as tomfx4
Anyways....thumbsup for that TFI. It won't fix Moto's problem b'c he's an idiot

....and the TFI only adds fuel...his problem is w/ FI system itself...the bike should be dynoed to see where the a/f mixture is getting too rich...then remap the FI...or just replace the FI altogether. When upgrading to a thunder or hypercharger air kit it gives it the fuel it needs.

Let's see if I understand correctly: You need a woman's bike to gain respect?
My Intruder 800 easily outran a Sportster 883. So the 883 isn't "just as slow".
Like was already said, why don't you FIX the bike? After all, a "pro" like you should know how to fix it.

Where do you get off calling a Sportster a woman's bike? That kind of bullsh*t has no place here at TMW.

And MotoF150
does have a place here?
Besides, I was kidding...

Friend of mine runs a Sportster 883. While she has better acceleration off the line, I've got better control of the motor, thanks to the liquid cooling system, plus it's a much easier to control bike. I took the 883 for a ride the other day, and honestly I didn't like it at all. It's too small for me, and my Vol is too big for her! So Moto, if you're going to shoot for one or the other, you must be somewhere around 5'7" to 5'9". As for the black smoke, GET IT FIXED ALREADY!!! You're such an expert, why not rebuild the motor, bore it out, remap the FI, add a custom hypercharger to it, and get 5K for it? Oh yeah, because you're not... And 2500 is no-where near the value of a decent 04 M50. I know because I can get 3K for my 2001, completely stock, except for a windshield, sissy bars, and saddlebags. It has some scratches on it, the fenders need to be repainted, but other than that it's good to go! Now the point of all of this? Go out and BUY an M50 and maybe you'll like it instead of just putting it down because you want one so bad!
