lol I cleaned the bike for the first time since march and then lubed and tightened up the chain (second time since march for the chain tightening). now I just need to get 3 quarts of oil and a filter so I can change that stuff. Oh and I inflated the tires cause the front was about 4lbs low and the rear was about 6 lbs low on air pressure.

Then took the wife to a parking lot to teach her how to ride. She stalled the bike about 12 times but got the clutch thing better after a couple hours of riding lol.

I changed my spark plugs and stripped the big ugly "V-Strom" stickers off the Strom.

I had the most stressfull job interview of my life today. Sitting in a chair in a room with 1 HR lady, 1 General Manager and 3 other various department managers all behind desks aranged in a semi-circle around me, asking me questions about anything and everything for 1 1/2 hrs. Whewwww! I bet I lost 5 pounds in sweat, and I don't have 5 pounds to lose....

I just hope I get this job. I got layed off 2 weeks ago and I could really use this job. Plus, it's a supervisory position, and I want to get off the tools before my body gives out. My knees, back and the rest of my joints still work fine, and I want to keep it that way. And I really, really, really don't want to work in McMurry.

Now the waiting game begins....
No Witnesses.... :shifty:

Found out that my friend's house burned down last night. Luckily the smoke alarm woke him and he was able to get out with his wife and 6 year old son. Looks like they lost everything.

Today (well, early this morning) I almost went to Worcester. The roads got too straight so I turned around and went back the way I came. I finally feel as though I have my night riding back! It's been missing for a while, been feeling nervous and unconfident riding at night as of late. Now, instead of going for another ride (I want to loop the Quabbin Resevoir in as close to an hour as I can . It's supposed to be 1 hour and 30 minutes ) I get to go to (blech) work.

Also noticed a tear in the palm of my riding gloves. Now I need to buy new ones :frusty:

I came home today.

After five days in the hospital with my wife. I am so exhausted emotionally and physically.

Fluid had been building up around her lung and it partially collapsed. Drained fluid and it re expanded but her oxygen saturation is still low. So she has to stay on oxygen at home. I don't know whether to be happy or depressed. I think maybe its possible to be both.

Took the bike out for a 10 mile jaunt before rain threatened me. D= It's such a bully. Sucks, too, cause it's been raining constantly in Massachusetts recently. Bah.

Waiting for my new license to come in. My 21st was tuesday. coincidentally I was on a trip from Monday to Thursday and my license expired ON TUESDAY, so before we left Monday I had to renew my license. Can't wait, I need a bottle of rum like you read about.
