I went to get gas and couldn't find a gas station with any left. Not sure why this seems to only be a problem in the south right now.
Hurricane Ike took out the refineries in Houston. They are only operating at 40-50% capacity. Those refineries pipe fuel to the SE. And in major metro areas, they are required to only use clean burning fuel, which is a purer fuel and there is even less of that around. So cities had to get a waiver to use regular fuel in metro areas in order to try to keep consumer's supplied at all.
Thanks shorts, probably would have known that if I had been paying attention to the news lately. With all my family's personal problems lately I just haven't been up to trying to keep current with all the other drama. Ah well, maybe tomorrow there will be gas for my thirsty V8.

I bought new socks.....it took me close to half an hour because I was reading all the tags....
I finally came away with 2 pair made in Canada and 2 pair made in the USA....
It is so time consuming to find things made in my own country ( the US is second choice)
Most of the socks come from China, Korea, Pakistan, Turkey.......
I think it is important to support our own workers and companies and products.....this also applies to food choices as well.....I try hard to buy BC first, then Canada second....after that either the US or New Zealand (good apples and kiwis)
Do you support your own?

Lets see I got up and edited a couple of records I had digitally recorded. The Doors Absolutely Live and The Who Who Are You. I made breakfast. I took the trash out to the curb. I started some laundry. I played with my new metric feeler gauges. I need to make a big chart for the valve settings on the XS750F

I cut 15 - 20 minutes off an hour drive. It's fun doubling the speed limit through mountain passes.
I saw a gs1150 set up with some luggage and got really jealous
And I watched my friend work with one of the worst waitresses I've ever seen. And one of the cutest hostesses I've ever seen. I like hanging out at diners, it's entertaining

My Saturday felt like a regular weekday. While I had some time to chill out, I still had a deadline on an order. Finally, this was the last one on this week and a half of playing catch up. So, I'm caught up. Now I can't sleep!
