I saved my time to have it all at once.

16-1/2 years working for the same company. I actually get 5 weeks but I took a week in the spring.

I only get 6 weeks after being with the same employer for 25 years, but I also get 2 weeks of pre-retirement leave this year as well as about 8 days of night recovery leave for working the graveyard shift. Pre-retirement leave is all used up after this year.

Wow!!!

:star: Thank you.

Just think of the blogging I could do if I could get out riding....I have had a cold and bronchitis for three weeks now. It's almost gone....but I am still short of breath. I saw the doctor today and got something prescribed to help my breathing.

I'm going to try a ride tomorrow afternoon.

I still have not been out for a ride. Sigh. Last weekend I finally went to the doctor about the bronchitis, coughing and shortness of breath. I got some "special" cough medicine to calm the cough and ease the breathing. It works, but the problem is it makes a person drowsy. So..no riding.

I am finally feeling like my breathing may soon return to normal.

I could probably ride but this past couple of days we have been short staffed at work, so I have been working late. I prefer to be in a 4 wheeled vehicle when I am tired.

It will probably be mid October before I can ride again. I'll be leaving on Sunday for my "road trip" in my car. Due to the area of where I am going, it is possible there could be some bad weather, so for safety sake, I'm driving.

I experienced my first earthquake today. It is a very uunsettling feeling to say the least. I felt like I was having a bout of vertigo....thankfully it was short lived and was mild where we were. The big quake was on Vancouver Island, but it was felt as far down as Seattle and inland on the mainland as far as Langley.

Apparently the high rises in downtown Vancouver were swaying.

We had to evacuate our building for a bit. At least it was a sunshiny afternoon to be outside until the "all clear" got called. :D

I have been away from home for a week. I have tried a few times to blog and upload a few pictures, but the internet connection is sometimes spotty...and the pictures won't upload to TMW.
Sooooooo......I uploaded a few to my Photobucket...here is the link to a half dozen pics from day 1. They are in the Quilchena area near Merritt BC.
