That's a pretty big tree. Bigger than what I put up this year - we decided to be "sensible" for a change..... so for once I have a tree that actually fits in the living room without moving furniture out!!

When's he gonna receive the other tire?

LOL, Mrs. Stark got a 55-300 for her D40 from me! She's loving it.... but she's learning about how shallow depth-of-field is at 300mm.

I'd come over and drink it up for ya, but 3000 miles is a just a bit far to go, even for beer!!

I have never had this problem....
Too bad you don't live 12 hours further east and we could help you out with your little
"problem"....

JStark......He'll get the other tire for his birthday. His bike is off the road for a couple of months now so he'll get the tire just in time for when he insures it again. ....and yes it is a big tree...but my living room is big....no furniture moving required.

It was a last minute decision....a week before Christmas...to go get a tree....it barely managed to get into my car. It sure does make the place smell nice.....like the great outdoors.
Yes a telephoto lens compresses the distance...but I sure do like benig able to see birds in trees....or the far side of a race track...
Highside....yes, it would be nice to live in oh say...Fernie....or...Black Diamond.....or Canmore.....but the lack of employment would be a problem. So, until I can retire I'l just have to stay here.

You'd really give up the wet coast for one of those? (I would too but I would be interested in hearing your reasons for doing so...)

Slower pace of life.....potentially lower cost of living.....I'd still have mountains.....and photographic opportunities....Would I miss the ocean? I don't know.....I was born and raised in Vancouver and it's just always been there. I don't know if Alberta is truly where I'd go..but a smaller town is a consideration.

Looks like you had a challenging ride on that gravel road. Glad it stayed dry for you

Great to see some more of that trip. Now to see what you can capture with that new lens...
