As a fun exercise you should start checking ebay for parts from a gsxr-1000 from LA. Maybe you'll recoginize something.
That's a pretty good idea.
I don't know if they'll sell your cracked fairing or not but it'd be pretty easily recognizable I'd think.
I'd assume they'd try to sell it though if it isn't cracked too badly (I never saw the photos if you posted any).

I have an agreed value policy on my boat.
All my relatives are afraid to borrow it.
Good point. Agreed value is more the norm in boats, planes, and specialty cars and bikes. I have it on my airplane and I have a buddy that got it on his restored '73 Kaw Z-1. If he'd gotten everyday insurance on it, the total loss payoff would have been about $1,000.

Oh yea I forgot you should check craigslist.com for used parts from a gsxr-1000 also in LA. I've seen many suspect listings on ebay & craigslist for used bike parts.

The549, what kind of drum set is that?
And are you the one that's from California, or am I thinking of someone else?
Yeah, Northern Cali. It's a Mapex Pro M. Maple set. I love it, it's a few years old but I still get compliments on most gigs I play.

Dude that is a nice blade. How much did it run you?
I collect swords for decoration (functional/non-functional, doesn't matter) and that is a sweet looking one.
Sending pm
What part of Northern California? Wouldn't happen to know where Yuba City is would you? That's where I was born and lived until I was like 10. It's in the same place as Marysville is, if you know where that is.

Truly Sorry Verm, it's part of the shitty world we live in and sometimes we just have to bite down hard and suck it up. Look on the bright side, this was your first bike and not your last, for the record I vote the 750 for you too.

Sorry about your bike Verm. That really sucks.
And get the 600. Don't make me slap you, Boy.

Sorry to hear about your loss. That really blows. I vote for the 600 too... I really like the "mid-size" bikes. Excellent handling and speed, but are less weight than the big boys. You aren't going to beat a liter bike in a straight line... but why would you want/need to? Especially at this stage in the game.

I'm sure you're sick of reading this by now but sorry about the bike Verm. I've rode my buddies 06 GSXR600 and it's an amazing ride. I'm even thinking of getting rid of mine for an 06.
Hopefully they catch the a$$hole$ who stole it and they all share a cell with a big biker guy named Maddog and they become his b!tche$...lol.
Cheer up though I'm sure everything will work out for the best.

after i got some sleep last night...
this is what i've decided.
if i can find both, my priority will go to the 600.
or else, i will choose whatever is available. color should be red/black when judging availability.
