Do I enjoy obeying the speed limit? Depends on several factors, including my mood and what kind of a rush I'm in?
Do I usually have a reason for doing 83 in a 65? Point B is waiting, might as well get there when I can, not when the speed limit says I should.

Besides in my town I've timed the lights. I can either do 5 under the speed limit and hit the greens, do the speed limit and hit every red, or do 10 over and hit every green AND get there one full cycle ahead of anyone else.
Do your customers know you speed on their bikes? :?

I only speed on their bikes when I'm trying to diagnose a problem they say can only be felt at speed. For the purposes of this post I meant my daily driver cage...

I usually keep whatever I am driving under 10mph over the posted speed. That is on highspeed highways not around town. Around town I keep it within 5 mph over at most.

maybe it will be different on 2 wheels, but currently on 4 i obey all speed limits. im usually below then at 60mph on the highway and 30-35 on surface roads. 7 speeding tickets in my first 8 years of driving have me one away from losing my license.

I usually go 10km over the limit on the highway. Figure that the police will have a lot faster drivers to look after. Although a few weeks ago I was doing about 20 over and went by a radar trap. But the officer took no notice of me. Possibly, since it was about -45c with the wind chill, the officer thought it wasn't worth risk of frost bite to write up a ticket. Sometimes you just get lucky. By the way, given the temp, I was obviously driving a cage at the time. I did once crank the kawi up to 170km in a 100 zone once. God, that felt good. I usually (always) keep those inner demons in check.

Thought I got nailed yesterday morning on I-295 when I got lit up doing 85 in the left lane. (Unmarked car and he came up fast behind me so I didn't see him.) Turns out all he wanted was for me to GET OUT OF HIS WAY!! :heat: So I waited till he went past a little ways, then resumed my..... ummmm... previous velocity.

I see you are in Ontario... You have to be careful there as they have those "road race rules" in effect and I've heard speeders can get their car crushed if they are over... (40km/h?)...

I love acceleration myself. Wide open throttle, leaning over the front of the bike (to keep it from wheelie'ing) preferabily from a green light going onto the highway on ramp. That's my fix.
