Just because I haven't updated in awhile:
My new winter gear was comfortable at 44*F the other night. Much better than the other stuff. Thick gloves still "pee" me off, I accidentally hit the horn on occasion because of my fat thumbs.

Dammit, I misread the paperwork that went with my PTO cash-in. Looks like the Strom won't be paid off till the end of next month.

I'd like to take a moment to pimp my new blog:
beersbikesetc.blogspot.com

edit: I don't know why the url isn't working right. Copy and paste.

re-edit: Link fixed. Enjoy.

I'm a tad disappointed with the weather forecaster from the morning news. She said there was a possibility of snow tonight, so I came to work in the truck instead of on the bike. No precipitation as of the last time I walked past a window. That's a riding day wasted. :frusty:

Got the Strom's title in the mail yesterday. I'm happy that it's all mine now, I don't have to share it with the bank.

It's been a bit since I've posted over here. Couple reasons for that: I moved a couple weeks ago, was not saving any money while living by myself, going to stay with my folks for a while () and save money for a career change. The other reason is that the Strom has a space in the garage now, and it's a PITA to pull out, especially with work only three miles away now.

Posting is still happening on the other blog, so come check it out occasionally.

Peeled those big shiny Suzuki "S"es (how the hell do you pluralize "S"?) off the Strom yesterday. I think the bike looks a lot cleaner now. The emblems are just stickers, they peeled off easily with just a bit of heat and patience. They did leave a bit of residue around the edges, but it should come off easily enough when I wash the bike.

I went down to Gerbing's today and picked up a couple things. More details on the blog.

While I was browsing around the web today I discovered a couple outfits that rent motorcycles in the Seattle area. One is Mountain to Sound Motorcycle Adventures, and the other is http://www.vstroms.com. I've decided that I'm going to talk my Dad into riding up Mt. St. Helens, or somewhere equally scenic, sometime this summer.
