Wednesday...

So, I’m at my final stop before home. I decided to take 3 days in Osoyoos BC, in the south Okanogan. I have the tent pitched and lawn chair out and I’m just takin’ it easy. My mind and my body need this rest before I head back to work. I had an enjoyable ride here, as much as the clouds tried to dump on me and a few other riders going the same way, we managed to keep one step ahead of the rain. I pulled into Osoyoos to overcast skies, but 30+C temps, muggy as heck, but that’s life in the banana belt... lol

Distance traveled: 536 kms

Well, it's a trip completed... My three days of relaxation and soaking up the sun, turned into 2.5 days of getting soaked and a bit of sun... :? Other than that, I feel quite rested despite the long trip. I slept and ate well while camping and had an over-all good time dispite the weather.

My trip home today was pretty uneventful, except that every time I stopped, got gas, went for breakfast, finished packing, etc, etc, etc; I got cornered by some passerby asking about the bike and trailer, oohing and ahhing, the whole nine yards. Because of rain last night, I woke up to wet tent, (outside...) and had to dry it in the sun this morning before I could finish packing. With all the chit chat delays I didn't get out of Osoyoos until almost noon, right after I finished my breakfast. I made two quick stops, one to pick up some fresh cherries, (and answer questions about the bike, etc..) and the other at the office of my second job, looking for a friend, then I headed home. Unpacking can wait I need a shower and some dinner...

Distance travelled: 381.1

Actually I was contemplating Moscow...

If I get on the road early enough in the year, I can get up to Alaska before most of the ice melts and ride almost all the way across the Berring Straits. Where the there's no ice, I just grab a berg and break out the paddles... I figure I could get to moscow in less than one month...
