That's funny. Better not let either of the twins see that once they are older, or you'll be in Deep Daddy DooDoo.

So, I'm preparing for my first attempt at the SS1000 and BB1500.

I've got Friday, Saturday, Sunday, Monday and Tuesday off.

1000 miles on the Friday, I hope and possibly 500 Saturday and 500 Sunday for the return trip.

I have been considering a longer trip, though, I guess with that amount of time - depending on how I feel after the first day I could continue on down to Key West, but unfortunately, Key West would be shy of 1500 miles.

I can calculate another slightly longer route, though I suppose. It is only short by about 50 miles or so.

My wife installed my rim stripes - I can actually see my wheels when I open my garage door. They are retro-reflective like the ones I had on the Kawasaki. Silver stripes on the black wheels - actually looks really cool.

I've got SOLAS tape coming - to put on my new white leather jacket, and a portion of the back of the B-King.

Gah, I'll settle out what I'm going to do soon enough.

Thanks - it looks like it might be the first B-King to do it - if I make it through.

Well, GPS Tracker is here _ I'll set it up and do a trial run tomorrow. Also, portable compressor and slime.

Tested GPS tracker - it seems to work well. It should produce a downloadable file that I might forward on to IronButt at the conclusion of the ride.

Rode in to work today... 120+ miles + a normal work day. So 12% of an SS1000.

It has been a while since I have hung out here. The twins are 10 months old. They are crawling and healthy. Cordelia might need some more work, but it all depends on how she grows.

Most of the time I wonder how there are two of them. Then I get to thinking that it is a miracle I ended up reproducing, and now I've got four of them.

So, I was bored one day and I've got a copy of the sample maintenance manual for my bike and I took off most of the plastic on my bike.

Now, I think I want to get it (well, those parts, anyway) painted. I've got some pics of the parts and the bike sans plastic. If any of you live in the NJ area and have someone that paints bikes or automobiles that would do the work I want, then I'd love the contact information.

Also corp has interesting effects painting that I would like to do on the bike. They have a glow in the dark additive - that apparently lasts for hours and degrades over a period of 10 years ( and knowing how often I drool at other bikes I'll never make it 10 years with one bike, but I might, you never know ).

My understanding from the Also website is that you would add the glow in the dark additive to the clear coat after painting the base coat on the bike. A base coat of white is apparently the best color. Here is a link to the "retro glow" additive they offer. I was thinking of doing the yellow/greenish color and then I could be a total dork and match my jacket. :) Retro Glow This is $65 for the neon green additive. Not nearly as expensive as some of the other stuff these guys sell - that I wouldn't mind having - like their cobweb special effect paint.

Another item they have is a clear coat - that adds a soft feel to the surface of the bike. Soft Feel

The combination of these clear coats/additives and the bike itself will certainly make it very unique. I can only imagine what it would look like at night with the neon green glow in the dark paint on those enormous exhaust cannons.

Not looking for any cool graphics work, though. No dragons or tachikomas, much as it would be really cool, I can't go crazy spending money on this stuff.
