Speaking of collector bikes.....there was a 1948 Indian at the Toy Run that looked as new as some new bikes. The owner restored it and you could tell it was his baby.
I did my first toy run. Got 2 pins for it, too. dr_bar was jealous. lol
It was a great event with people lining the streets to see the procession.
And as an added bonus....it did not rain until after the event was over.
And...as another added bonus, the cities of Coquitlam, Port Moody and Burnaby closed streets so the ride could make it unimpeded. That was probably the only time in my whole that I will be able to run red lights legally.

Fantastic. Kudos to all you riders that braved the possibility of rain. I seem to have unbelievably bad luck when it comes to Toy runs. I havn't made it to one yet. Always something interferes. Made a Poker run this summer though I missed the one held by Steve Drane.
Last year wifey and I set out for a toy run up island. In all the years I have been riding I never got caught in worse conditions. It rained so hard I could not see. Had to remove the sunglasses, then my prescription glasses. Blamed windshield don't help with hard rain. I couldn't travel fast enough to get protection behind it. We must have had a biker (in his cage) traveling behind us as we came down the Malahat because who ever was back there gave us plenty of space which is really unusual for the bozos out here. Perhaps he really expected to see us wipe out. I think you could have used a canoe to come down the pass. Needless to say we turned around before we got to the destination. A couple of wusses I guess. Mind you that was a real gully washer of a rain. That's my excuse and I'll stick with it.
Love to have an old Indian but I'll settle for getting old enough to see my Harley become a collector.

Well, I went in another toy run. The Fraser Valley event. It was a good event but wow it was sure raining hard.
The ride home was difficult. I think it's the second hardest rain I have ridden in yet made worse because of so much traffic.
With care and extra caution made it home not too traumatized. haha

riding clubs and co-ops
I am looking for any input or opinions anyone can offer...
I am thinking about joining Victoria SCRC and/or Adreniline Motorcycle Co-Op. I would love to hear from anyone who is a member of either, and the pros and cons etc etc.
Thanks in advance for any input.

I belong to the SCRC in Langley. So far my experience with has been great. I think the chapters all have the same outlook and it would be a good thing to join the SCRC.
I don't know anything about your other one.
Another group that I joined that has chapters all over is the BC Northern Stars. Part of the ISRA. They also have chapters all over. Joining them has also been a good experience for me.

I have seen the acronym ISRA, but do not know what or who they are. Thanks for the input, and links would most appreciated.

It is a Motorcycle shop, however it is a Co-Op, grows and prospers by way of a membership. With the membership, you get a good deal on parts and service, a shop area with tools and equipment that you can use, training courses, 24hr roadside pick up (breakdown) etc. I believe you also get trip planning with maps and stuff too, but not sure on that.

Thanks for the info. And I wish it would stop raining too. Thankful for good riding gear, only problem is none of my buddies ride in the rain, I'm all by my lonesome.
