Worst thing? Nothing much, love my work.
Best thing? The kids and long vacations.
Boring? Not at all. Very commendable IMO. A good teacher can be very important to a kid or a teen.

Not very exciting here...
1) The last 10 years I've been the sole Legal Assistant for an attorney that does mostly criminal defense
2) Best thing is my boss likes to take lot of time off and thinks I should too (hooray for salary) and we don't work any holidays or Friday afternoons.
3) Dealing with whiny people in jail and probate. I hate it when we take on probate cases.
FYI - truth is stranger than fiction when it comes to reading police reports. You can't make some of this stuff up. It helps to do this kind of work in a college town, keeps it interesting.

Stay-at-home Mom
2. best - It's a crazy good time raising kids, and I can ride during nice-weather school days with my husband.
3. worst - dealing with folks who think that stay-at-home moms are out of touch with the rest of the world, or who think that there's not much going on for us so we settled on something else in life.
Projectionist/Concessionaire
2. best - everything about running the projectors, including when something goes wrong - it's fun to solve a problem on the fly. And I love watching the films from up in the projector's booth. It's like my own fort up there.
3. worst - coming home from working concessions and smelling like cooked popcorn oil and vinegar (we use the vinegar to clean the popcorn kettle).
Cheers,
Loonette
I guess I should update this. Since 2007, I've been working as a
Firefighter / EMT for my local fire department. I work roughly 30 /week with regular pay, and I run 4 overnight shifts as "paid on call" (meaning we get paid a flat rate per call taken).
Best - taking care of patients, continuing education, my chief (who makes me laugh every single day), working with other department members, drill night, getting sweaty and feeling accomplished after a good fire call (or better yet, a good MVC call).
Worst - at times, feeling very old. Frankly, 43
is pretty old to be doing what I do, and it takes me many days to recover after a big call. Also, worst is having to work with a particular full-time DB who is an absolute joy-kill every moment of every day. I pray for the day when he will leave our department. The low pay sucks, but honestly, I can't complain. Having any paying job right now is a good thing, and actually loving my job is a huge bonus!
Cheers,
Loonette

1) Calculus Instructor/Farmer
2) Best things are the students and summers off so I can tend to my farm.
3) Worst thing, nothing! I figure if you love what you do you'll never work a day in your life! I have been blessed to do what I love.

Yep... It took you from Calgary all the way to London England...
I jest, having a job that takes you to different countries could be totally cool. Just what is it that you do???
