Bike keeps looking better all the time Shorts! Keep up the good work! Only problem for me is that I have none of your abilities, and none of your needs...but I want to manipulate my controls all around every time i read your blog.

Chain cleaning is my absolute most funnest, wonderfullest, nifty-keeno past time in the WHOLE WIDE WORLD!!!! :spaz: (if you believe this, I've got a bridge for sale.......)

I use chain wax in a spray can. Never occurred to me to use gear oil (which I've got sitting around...) :humm:

But I managed to get things done without dropping it. I kept the kick stand down, which was a real pill, but I kept thinking about to make sure it was fully extended when I put the bike down. More time out there I guess will help me walk it better, get my technique down.
Given your situation, I would never walk the bike alongside, I'd always straddle-walk it. After my near-miss with my wife's Trophy in November, I always straddle-walk that bike. What's the issue with straddle-walking, strength, control, something else? Can you flat-foot your VTR?

Hiya Shorts. I really enjoyed reading your blog. Wish I would have read it sooner, sorry I didnt. I am rally impressed with what you are doing. When you get back stateside, if you ever get to my part of the country, let me know. I want to go for a ride with you.
Some ideas.
Since your looking at the linked brake system, what about a suicide clutch and electric shifter( push button)? Also are you married to the idea of a twist throttle? A thumb operated ATV style throttle might give you a little better control, not having to move your wrist/hand. Anyway, good luck to you. Your terrific. Ill keep reading.
