I was 15 when I started riding.
My dad was really into ridding. He had a Gold Wing 1100 full dress (accesory mobile) at the time and went out and bought a Honda Shadow 500. He told mom that it was for him to ride back and forth to work. Within a week he took me for a ride to the high school parking lot and let the lesson begin. Within a week of that I had myself a shadow 500. Mom wasn't happy being an emergency room nurse but what the hay I was riding.
About a month later he bought a new goldwing and gave me his old one to ride. When I was 16 I went on a ride to Colorado with the GWTA (goldwing club) that the old man belonged to and I won a prize for being the youngest pilot at the event.
I think that was his plan all along was to get a new bike for himself by way of giving me the old one.
I am now on a bike almost all the time.
The worst day on two wheels is better than any day in a cage.

I started in March, 2006. It was a present from myself to myself, when I became 29.
I have a chopper Yamaha XV250. Not lots of cubic meters of the engine, but it is my first bike and I love it very much!!!
