adam and eve are always show as being White. is this supposed to be true that they were in fact white?

so saying that adam and eve were in fact white and all humans came from them. its been said on this forum that mutations do occur and lose of information causes changes to creat variations of species. so based on that everyone thats not white is a lesser version of someone who is white? a lose of information makes something less than the original.

would that be correct according to the theory of creation?
The bible does not say that Adam and Eve were white, people tend to portray them the way they see them in their minds. Artists conceptions of biblical characters have changed with the times. I personally don't have any idea what they looked like. The Bible only says that Adam was made in God's own image. I can't help but guess that Eve was a real looker.

I have four brothers, each of us looks a little different from the other. Give it a few centuries and I'll bet our great great grandkids won't have much resemblace at all.

Really, what Bible are you reading, or have you just heard this and have decided to spread it?

Kevin
So, ease up dude. Your book's honor is intact. I have not insulted anything or anyone. If the bible makes you happy, great, go read it, but calling it a science book is a bit disingenuous. Faith is the absence of science and proof. Geez.
I'm cool, not unsettled at all, and It's not my book, I didn't write it.

My point in this conversation is that as some of you think others are blind by faith, it can also be said that others are blinded by education. By that I mean that they think they are too smart to believe in some stupid faith thing. I just suggest giving both a shot.

Peace out.

ok if adam and eve are not white, then whatever race they were makes them the superior race and everyone else lesser of a race? reason would lead someone to see adam and eve as being middle eastern making them the 'superior' race.

jesus was born there after all, and again jesus is always shown as being white with blue eyes. what is the racial hang up with churchs?

You must be talking about white churchs. I've see Black versions also.

Why are you getting hung up on all these things that don't really matter?

There are about 29000 websites on Google pertaining to creationism vs. evolution, so there is plenty of reference material available.

Ok, there's a reason why I put quotations around the word "truths"... maybe i simply used the wrong verbage, but i was hoping that you all know what i meant.

The point is, that if someone is convinced of something for whatever reason (first hand experience or witnessing, spiritual feeling, brainwashing, something they read, gut feeling, the way they were raised, whatever) and they either aren't open to other ideas, or they simply cannot see any truth in them, they "know" what they "know"... it is the truth to them and why would I want to convince them otherwise if they are happy with thier personal knowledge?...

** and please dont take me saying 'brainwashing' as personal to anyone here, I'm just listing a few of the many reasons why people belive what they do.

In the end, being as open minded as humanly possible, I'll have to quote Ozzy Osbourne -- "Don't ask me, I don't know" -- (Not yet, anyway... and if I ever feel I do know for sure, I won't be telling others who feel the same way, but have differing opinions that they are wrong)
