Spent my day up at Keystone snowboarding, my first day taking advantage of our upcoming snow season! A great day indeed, although my knee is feeling sore once again long after I dislocated it last January riding through trees. Who cares though, i'm still psyched!

LOOKING FOR VOLUNTERS FOR A POTENTIAL SUICIDAL MISSION

#1333 Unread post by ceemes »

Looking for a few brave souls willing to go on a potentially hazardous and suicidal mission.

Went shopping today and brought home the makings of Beef Stroganoff along with various other items. I am getting quite adept at bring home the groceries now on the bike, amazing what you can fit in a backpack, tie down on a luggage rack and sling off your wrist.

Anyways, cooking it now, but made a couple of boo-boo's. The recipe called for beef stock and I grabbed chicken stock instead, also found out that I am out of flour (used as a thickening agent) so used Bisto gravy mix instead....figure that should balance out the chicken stock. Also, used real sour cream, not that tasteless fat free junk......a good cup and a half of it.

Anyways, its the first time trying to cook this....so looking for a few brave souls, (or those who have given up on life in general) to be my guinea pi....errr I mean taste testers.
Always ask why.

ill test it fer ya :D.

Finally got my heater core changed in the van. Took me 45 mintues to get to the core and 3 hours to get the 2 hoses off the pipes in the 6" of space I had to work with. Finally got those buggers off (short of cutting them off which I was about 2 do) and it took me all of 45 min to reinstall everything. Now I cant figure out how to "bleed" the air out because both bleed screws are below the hoses and well I dont want to be running the pump with the bleed screws open. So I do get heat but its a warm heat instead of a hot heat.

run the vehicle with the radiator open and the heat blasting on full. As the heater core draws coolant to it, the level of coolant in the radiator will lower. Top off accordingly.

Heh, this I know! Fighting drunk guys for a living has it's advantages!

Met an anomaly Saturday, a drunk guy who knew it was not a good idea to fight the bouncers... Not often you find that!
