Gotta have the 10th anniversary HARLEY Vrod! After all it is a Harley! Right?

(please use TMW's link to the page, I've had that model up on TMW since it came out).

I've had a V-Rod up this year (Feb 11th - 18th, 2011):
http://www.totalmotorcycle.com/coolwall/cool.htm and it finished 43% Cool. I'm a little concerned about the 10th Anniversary one as it's so close to the Muscle... (I can only have 52 bikes up on the Cool Wall per year and variety is best)
Is there another H-D model you would like to see up that's different?
Mike

That's okay, Mike gently reminded me that we already did that model earlier this year...

This is one Harley that I have never seen a woman on it; mostly men in their 30s and 40s it seems like. Lots of women on Harleys but never seen one on the XR1200X. Also interestingly enough, every single person I ever saw riding one was a decent rider;not something you can say for many of the Harley riders...

I was kidding! I don't actually believe in the concept of a "
girls bike" which is a term normally used by insecure types trying to justify their manhood by riding bikes too big for them to handle and belittling everyone on anything smaller. And I love Sportsters, but was just teasing my buddy who I am pretty sure is going to be shopping for the big XR next spring.....and she will ride it better than most of the 30-40 something guys that usually ride them!
I put the

instead of typing just kidding....

I knew you were kidding High Side.

I don't know you but I know enought about you and your motorcycle knowledge that you wouldn't actually make a silly assertion like that.
I just kind of used your quote to further expand on it. I guess what I was trying to say was that for whatever reason, the XR1200R/X seems to attract highly experienced and skilled riders....far more than any other model Harley by a significant margin.

I agree that the big XR attracts riders who are experienced and skilled, and who can appreciate that kind of bike. I was going to say mature...but that theory went out the window a few posts up this thread....

(Sorry Sunshine)

Interesting to think about. The XR is arguably H-D's best-handling bike, so I guess it attracts riders who would appreciate those qualities. But then, repli-racers handle great, and you've got tons of inexperienced, unskilled riders on those.
